Brian Taylor
Senior Vice President, International Services

Brian W. Taylor is Senior Vice President of International Services, where he will oversee the company's expansion into the commercial Asia market, set to launch in December 2010. Prior to this role, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Horizon Logistics, LLC. Mr. Taylor joined Sea-Land Service in 1984 as a Sales Representative in Montreal, Canada. Throughout his 26-year career with the company, he has assumed management positions in sales and operations in the U.S. and Asia, including General Manager, Buyers Consolidators LTD, based in Hong Kong. He received his Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business Administration in Economics and Financial Management from Concordia University.

Frank Knafelz
Vice President, Operations & Sales

Frank Knafelz serves as Vice President of Operations & Sales for Horizon Logistics, and President of Sea-Logix, a sister company of Horizon Logistics, LLC.  Mr. Knafelz is responsible for the 3PL sales and operations activity within the Horizon organization. He also directs and oversees the Intermodal operations on behalf of Horizon Lines, LLC. He began his career with the company (formerly Sea- Land Service) in 1997 and has held various management positions in marine terminal operations, intermodal trucking and warehousing, and labor relations. Mr. Knafelz has more than 16 years of industry experience in the transportation and logistics sectors.  Mr. Knafelz holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Diego and an M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee. 


Duncan Wright
Director of Business Development & Marketing

Duncan Wright is the Director of Business Development & Marketing for International Services. His responsibilities include developing and fostering strategic relationships with partners and customers, leading the customer solution and account teams and managing the marketing for the organization. Mr. Wright started with Sea-Land in London in 1995 through their management training program. He has held several corporate positions including Global Sales, Asian and European call center design and implementation and the project manager driving the business direction of container visibility and tracking systems.  After the sale of Sea-Land, Mr. Wright remained in the company’s US domestic division where he managed the development, strategy and customer roll-out of the e-business system (NetCaptain®) before moving into Horizon Lines 3rd Party technology division, Horizon Services Group, as the Director of Sales & Marketing. Mr. Wright holds a Bachelor of Science in Maritime Business & Law from Plymouth University, in England, UK, and is a frequent speaker at colleges, trade seminars and shipping conferences.
