Horizon Logistics Announces 10+2 Certification and In-House Filing Capabilities.
Effective January 26, 2009, US Customs Importer Security Filing (ISF) Program was implemented. Horizon Logistics would like to assure customers that all programming and staff training is in place to insure compliance.
Horizon Logistics customers will benefit from in house 10+2 filings in the following ways:
- Greater control of submission time and accuracy of ISF data
- Enhanced response time for issue resolution
- Operationally, submission of your ISF data is handling by your HLOG single point of contact. All operational functions are handled by same Horizon Logistics personnel creating a solid customer service experience
- Ability to access our web application if customer wants to submit on their own using our system (fee based)
The ISF program requires the following ten data elements be provided to Customs 24 hours PRIOR to container loading in foreign port.
Ten Data Elements, Defined:
1. Manufacturer or Supplier, Name and Address
2. Seller (Owner), Name and Address
3. Buyer (Owner), Name and Address
4. Ship To Party, Name and Address
5. Container Stuffing Location
6. Name and Address of Party who Stuffed the Container or Arranged
7. Importer of Record or Social Security Number or Other Identifying
8. Consignee Number(s)
9. Country of Origin
10. Commodity Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS)
